Student of the Month: Shirley

Shirley has only been practicing with us for a couple of months, but we are so impressed with her progress. She struggled through a few challenging classes in the beginning, but now she is all smiles in the yoga room, and she just finished her January yoga challenge with flying colors!

Like many of our students, Shirley is new to yoga and ...

Student of the Month: Kathy T.

We chose Kathy for our January 2017 “Student of the Month” when we realized it was her “yoga anniversary”. She took her first Bikram class on January 1st of last year and she’s been in class every week since then, completing almost 200 classes in 2016! It’s wonderful to see her dedication and growth in class, and we are thrilled that she’s had such great results from our yoga!

KATHY SAYS:

“I initially signed up at EBBY on November 11, 2015 because ...

Student of the Month: Sandy

Sandy Massa is our October “Student of the Month”! Sandy began practicing Bikram yoga with us last spring at the age of 65. She recently celebrated her 66th birthday and she is feeling stronger than ever in body and mind. Here’s what Sandy had to say about her Bikram yoga experience so far:

“Bikram Yoga has given me a new life. It has reduced and in most cases alleviated my stress. All in all, it’s made me a much more level ...

Student of the Month: Satomi

Satomi has come a long way since she started yoga last winter. She came to us in a lot of pain and with no yoga experience. Since then, she has developed a beautiful, strong, and well-rounded yoga practice. She tries every style of yoga and every workshop that we offer. We love how proactive she has been in taking charge of her health and wellness. She was the first to complete our “99 Days of Summer” yoga challenge and she ...

Student of the Month: Stacy

We chose Stacy as the Student of the Month for July because of the amazing progress she’s made this summer. She is one of our most enthusiastic and hard-working students, and she is never afraid to call out “I have a question!” or “I did it!” when working on a posture.

Stacy’s only been with us for a short time, but she’s already experienced a huge transformation. She started practicing with us in May, right before she was scheduled to have ...

Student of the Month: Mary

This month we’d like to share a wonderful testimonial from one of our members who has been battling lyme disease. Mary started with us in February and found the Bikram yoga practice to be extremely therapeutic and healing. She’s been practicing with us 3-4 times a week ever since and continues to improve! Here’s what she had to say:

On the day I walked into East Bay Bikram Yoga, I was feeling pretty hopeless. I had been out of work for two ...

Student of the Month: Jason

We chose Jason as our student of the month because he has such a great attitude in class – he loves to work hard and the results speak for themselves. (Check out that height in his locust pose!) Outside of yoga, he is an Associate Dean and Professor at Roger Williams University.

Here’s what Jason had to say about practicing yoga with us:

Q: How long have you been practicing Bikram yoga?

A: I’ve been doing Bikram since August 2015 – the month ...

Student of the Month: Erin

For March, our student of the month is Erin Glynn, whose lovely backbend is featured on our website. Erin has been with us for just over a year now, practicing 3-4 times a week, and finished a 30 day challenge in January. All the teachers have been impressed not just by her beautiful spine, but also by her calm, zen-like demeanor in class – the mark of a true yogi! Here’s our Q&A with Erin:

Q: How long have you been ...

Student of the Month: Callie & Eric

For February, in honor of Valentine’s Day, we decided to highlight this awesome yoga couple! Callie has been coming to our studio for just over one year, is a member of our “karma yogi” cleaning crew, and just completed her second 30-day challenge. (That’s 30 days of yoga in a row.) Her husband Eric practiced with us occasionally in 2015, but has now been bitten by the yoga bug and completed 20 classes in the month of January!

Here’s what they ...
